Lets Grow - Disease Of Modern Times LP [2007/2009]

Lets Grow exist since 2001. and so far they have a lot of records out on US and European labels. They already toured Europe once and played with bands like Annihilation Time, Vitamin X, Dean Dirg, Out Cold etc. and as we speak they are touring Europe again (see their myspace for exact dates and venues). In those 8 years their music changed a bit, but it was always no bullshit, great sounding and high-energy fast hardcore punk inspired mostly by the 80's US bands.

Both cd and lp version of "Disease of modern times" was out on Refuse Rec. and TrashBastard Rec. I think these first LP presses are sold out but you can definetely get yourself a vinly repress which is out on american label Know Rec. Or, you can always write to above mentioned labels for more details about first vinyl presses and cd's. Also, there is a new split LP record with Jaibo! out on Doomtown Rec. and i'll post some more info on that in my second blog entry.

Degraders - Pyschedelic Friends [2009]

I'm really late with posting this but here it finally is and I'm really sorry it took me so long because DEGRADERS are great. PSYCHEDELIC FRIENDS is an album of twenty lo-fi bedroom-pop songs, some more quiet and mellow, some louder and more upbeat. My personal favorites are ODALISQUE GIRL and ARE YOU FROM THE 60s. The album works perfectly for cloudy mornings like the one we're having here in Zagreb today. Recommended to anyone who usually enjoys this kind of music.

One of Waylon's older releases, recorded live. Nine more trashy CRAMPS style songs. Great stuff.

Rot Shit - You're Welcome 7" [2010]

Raw, filthy & rebellious hardcore punk accompanied by lyrics full of hate towards hipsters, bedroom pop and Captured Tracks Records. Rot Shit are probably too much into Angry Samoans and yeah, I almost forgot, unfortunately, this is Rot Shit's final output. Enough said?

Functional Blackouts - The Very Best of the Monkees [2007]

These Chicago punks delivered some loud, noisy, treble heavy and filthy guitar nihilism. The band broke up in 2006 and later went on to form incredible Daily Void with a new drummer. This compilation compiles eighteen tracks from their earliest recordings to their final outputs; singles and compilation appearances, cuts from their splits with Fashion Fashion and The Image Boys as well as the songs from the split with the KK Rampage as well as three unreleased tracks. This is one of the most brilliant bands i have heard in a long time. Functional Blackouts have never lacked any creativity and noise assaults so you should worship their records and trash everything that stands in your way while you're into their nihilistic and barbaric vibe.

Out on Dead Beat. Go get it there.

Indigesti - In Disparte [2001]

Even if this is Indigesti's reunion album it's pretty rad. Unlike Indigesti's older realeses which have pretty raw sound, sound production here is much better than one on the previous releases so the vocals and melodies are coming more to the foreground and are more notable. A must have.

Out on Vacation House Records. Buy here.

Indigesti - Osservati Dall'Inganno [1986]

This is classic italian hardcore punk record from the golden days of italian punk history. Indigesti are all about fast hardcore punk songs driven by punk rock melody and snotty vocals. They were pretty much influenced by earlier italian bands such as Wretched, Negazione and Raw Power (they even had a split 7" record with Wretched where they sound pretty much just like their idols Wretched) and american hardcore bands (think early Bad Brains and RKL). On this LP Indigesti made the unique sound of their own. IMHO, this is the best italian hardcore punk record.
